After some mailing with Hobbycity (thank god mails are free ) I received a coupon for a new battery.

Battery is ordered and should arrive in a few weeks, if I find the time I’ll add the other electronics while waiting for the battery.
But no hurry, it’s winter stop

I received the electronics for the Nasty, but the battery was missing from the parcel.

I’m emailing with the Hobbycity support right now, hoping that everything will be sorted out.
It maybe only a $10 battery, but I still need it

I finally found the time to upload the pictures of the Fokker.

The last one is the status this far.

I reached the first big milestone in the Fokker build!
This morning, I glued the top of the fuselage together with the 2 sides, it’s kinda like the first stone of a new building

again, pictures are taken but not uploaded yet, I’ll try to get this done tomorrow

I cut out the 2 sidepieces for the fuselage this morning and sanded them up nicely.

Next step is cutting and glueing the motormount, then the fuseribs and glue it all together.
I’m hoping to get this done by the end of the week, but that might be a bit too optimistic

While waiting for the electronics to finish the Nasty I started carving pieces for a new project:

As you can see, it’s the famous Fokker DRI, made famous by the Red Baron (Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen)
My version will have ailerons on all 3 wings, it will be able to fly scale and full 3D (should make great snaprolls with 6 ailerons )

This will take a very long time to complete (if I ever get it done)

Done some nice work today, the balsa pieces are glued on the fuse and wing, the motor mount is installed, the rudder and ailerons are installed.
I also ordered the electronics today, they should arrive in a week or 2.

Also, I broke my elevator in half today so I had to repair it with a small carbon rod

The wing is glued to the fuselage, it’s all looking great!
Pictures will be up tomorrow as I have a day off work then.

Todo tomorrow:

• go buy some balsa
• go buy some clear tape
• glue balsa to the fuselage/wing
• attach control surfaces
• order electronics
• take pictures
• upload pictures

I finally got me some new Depron 6mm plates and I started working on the Nasty.

The Nasty is a Shockflyer capable of full 3D.

Status so far: I finished cutting the pieces (only 3 parts ), carbon rods inserted in the fuselage and wing

I don’t have a lot of time to work on this, so updates will be small and slow
